Aberporth (5 mins by car)

This attractive village resort overlooks two sandy beaches and is a popular tourist destination. There are plenty of rock-pools to explore and stunning views from the cliffs above.

Tresaith (7 mins by car)

Has a great sandy beach and is good for swimming and body boarding. The waterfall caused by the river Saith flowing over the cliff top onto the rocks below adds further beauty. The Ship Inn overlooking the beach is the perfect place for a bite to eat and drinks at sunset.

Penbryn (10 mins by car)

Owned by the National Trust, the sandy beach of Penbryn is reached through the woods of the Hoffnant valley. The beach is almost a mile in length and extends westwards to Tresaith, which can be reached at low tide. It is completely unspoilt and the perfect beach for families – good swimming and great for sandcastle building.

Mwnt (15 minutes by car) is a sandy cove, known as the ‘jewel of Cardigan Bay’. It is protected Marine Heritage Coast and is home to varied wildlife including grey seals and bottlenose dolphins. From a vantage point high above the beach you get uninterrupted views out across the sea and towards Cardigan Island. There is also a 13th Century church to explore.

Llangrannog (15 mins by car)

A small seaside village nestled in a narrow valley. It has two beaches, the main beach at its front and the adjoining Cilborth beach in a hidden cove.

Poppit Sands (20 mins by car)

Is a large expanse of golden sand at the mouth of the River Teifi. Reached from Cardigan via the attractive village of St Dogmaels it is worth a visit at anytime of year for a good walk.
